I feed my cat abundant life cat food (dry food) – this is grain free and helps with weight issues. I also like that they have not had any pet food recalls. They use fresh ingredients which means there are issues now with getting the can food made because of supply issues.
I like that they are committed to providing quality food, but that means in order to not skimp on quality, they have to limit the quantity for now. They should be back to normal in 2022. I will add information on the web page when I am able to.
When it became more difficult to get the canned food, I began looking at the raw food diet. I understand this is a little much for most people to do for themselves. It is more time consuming. In addition, adding supplements to the food is a must.
I also give them kibble or dry food- abundant life food. The wet food is good to make sure they have meat protein and additional water in their diet. There are not many health issues with a Siberian, but kidney issues can become problematic in any cat breed.
The way to assist with avoiding these issues, give plenty of access to water, keep little boxes clean and give wet food; not just dry.
